Technology should serve a business objective
Sales use one system, finance uses another, and management reports still require manual consolidation. When information is fragmented, it is difficult to see where time is lost, what drives costs and which changes deserve investment.
VM.Capital connects digital change with business objectives. We review processes, explain the capabilities and limitations of available solutions in plain language, and build a practical sequence: what to change, why, in which order and how to assess the outcome.
Does this sound familiar?
Manual work limits growth
People transfer the same information between spreadsheets, emails and accounting systems. Processes depend on individual employees.
Management lacks a shared view
Departments report conflicting figures. Information arrives late, leaving decisions without a consistent foundation.
Systems exist, but results do not
Applications do not work together, employees avoid using them, and technology costs rise without a clear business benefit.
Six areas of digital transformation
The scope follows your business objective. Start with a single process or develop a coordinated programme for the whole company.
Digital maturity assessment
Review processes, existing systems, data quality and everyday working practices. Identify dependencies, repeated tasks and sources of error.
Deliverable: A prioritised list of issues and opportunities.
Digital strategy and system architecture
Define the target operating model, system requirements and data flows. Compare options against budget, scalability and vendor dependency.
Deliverable: A roadmap, requirements and implementation sequence.
Process automation
Help organise accounting, sales, approvals, project management and finance. Prepare requirements, coordinate implementation and test solutions against real working scenarios.
Deliverable: Agreed processes, responsibilities and acceptance criteria.
Data and management analytics
Define data sources, calculation rules and reporting requirements. Help connect information across departments and make it useful for management.
Deliverable: A set of metrics and management reporting requirements.
Information security and controls
Review access to information, backups and data protection requirements. Help define controls and the responsibilities of employees and suppliers.
Deliverable: Prioritised safeguards and requirements for internal policies.
Digital infrastructure
Compare cloud and on-premises options, remote working requirements, availability and compatibility. Consider operating costs and the ability to move data.
Deliverable: Infrastructure recommendations and a development plan.
From assessment to changes that work
Define the objective
Clarify goals, constraints, existing systems and project stakeholders. Agree the scope of work.
Set priorities
Compare expected value, costs and risks. Choose the first process to improve and establish baseline metrics.
Test in practice
Prepare requirements, coordinate specialists and validate the solution within a limited scope before expanding.
Embed the change
Help organise training, acceptance, support and performance tracking after launch.
Results you can assess
Agree what success means before implementation. Metrics and targets are set after reviewing the starting position.
Time required to handle an enquiry, approve a document or produce a report.
Duplicate records, errors and manual corrections.
Employee time spent on repetitive work and system operating costs.
Use of new processes by employees and adherence to agreed working practices.
What should your company improve first?
Tell us which process limits growth or control. An initial discussion will clarify the objective and the next step: an assessment, a roadmap or support for a specific implementation.
One plan for business, technology and controls
Digital change goes beyond software. It affects supplier agreements, access to information, financial controls and employee responsibilities. VM.Capital helps align these decisions between management, business teams and technical specialists.
- Clear recommendations that explain the business implications.
- Priorities linked to costs, risks and management objectives.
- Defined responsibilities for your team and specialist providers.
- An agreed scope, stage deliverables and acceptance process.

Do we need to replace all our software?
Existing solutions are reviewed first. Improving data exchange, changing a process or configuring a system already in use may be sufficient. Replacement is justified when current tools cannot meet the agreed requirements.
Can we start with one department?
Yes. A limited project helps test the approach, assess the outcome and refine requirements before extending changes to other departments.
Who performs technical implementation?
The delivery team is agreed for each project. Implementation may be carried out by your own team or specialist providers. VM.Capital’s role, each party’s responsibilities and acceptance procedures are defined before work begins.
How are fees and timelines determined?
They depend on the number of processes, data quality, existing systems, required integrations and support scope. Once the objective is clear, we agree the workstreams, stages and commercial terms.
