What Kyrgyz citizenship can offer
Travel options
Kyrgyz passport holders can use visa-free arrangements for a number of destinations. For example, Türkiye permits visa-free travel with an ordinary Kyrgyz passport for up to 90 days. Current entry conditions and purpose requirements should be checked before travel.
Tax considerations
Kyrgyzstan’s standard personal income tax rate is 10%. Individual treatment depends on income type, status and applicable rules. Citizenship and tax residence are assessed separately; obtaining a passport does not itself guarantee tax savings.

Before you begin
Is this route available to every applicant?
Eligibility depends on the applicant’s grounds and documents. The initial assessment identifies the relevant procedure and conditions. A foreign passport alone does not establish eligibility for the full route within these estimates.
Does a 30-day residence permit mean immediate citizenship eligibility?
No. Citizenship requires statutory grounds and fulfilment of the relevant procedure’s conditions. Residence is a stage in an agreed route whose applicability is assessed first.
When does the 7–10 month estimate start?
It refers to waiting during the review stage after citizenship application submission. It does not automatically include preparation and residence permit stages and may vary with the procedure and review.
Can existing citizenship be retained?
Review Kyrgyz rules, the current nationality’s laws, the application route and potential notification obligations. There is no single answer for every applicant.
What happens to taxes after citizenship?
Consider citizenship, tax residence, income sources and categories, other-country connections and applicable treaties. Tax analysis can be agreed separately; a passport does not automatically put all income under one rate.
